Because in my street unfortunately fiber connection is not available as of now. Will come with in 6 months. At that time i will take fiber and disconnect airfiber.
The good thing is Airtel optical fiber is still actively expanding. While Jio optical fiber have completely stopped their expansion after introduction of their AirFiber service. Maybe due to lesser investment.

Nice, but I guess that depends on how important a city is. For example, here they have only started service in ONE area and then stopped. Quite weird. I am from a tier 3 city.

Actually Jio have good control in LCOs of their subsidary cable tv networks over Airtel, but now in reverse, Airtel expanding with LCOs.

Not really. They are expanding tier 3 cities as well. Throughout India, Airtel has been widening their fiber footprint lately through LCO revenue sharing model.

Your city might not have interested LCOs in other parts hence it's not expanding to rest of the areas.

They have escalated their fiber coverage expansion since the public announcement:

Could be. The LCO is same who is working for RailWire and BSNL. And from what I could understand, RailWire pays him more for each connection. So, that might be the reason.

For dth they are providing local language hd plans (350 rs ulimated hd plans). Many main hd local channels are missing. If you want that channel you should pay more .
I spend a total of 2500 rs for all ( no activation or no installation cost). I will get benifits for 3.5 months ( 707×3.5 = 2475rs ) Balance amout will be adjusted with the bill.

Airtel is advertising for Rs.350/- worth of DTH channels with fiber plan, but Live tv (DTH) is the worst as they offer SD channels and 3 to 4 regional HD channels only. you have pay Rs.22.42/- for every extra HD channel

Please stop spreading misinformation.

For Airtel Black Customers there r 4 DPO Bouquets available for every major region/state and these contain all required SD and HD channels.....one can choose the pack that suits them , if any channel is missing then one can add it via language top ups or A La Carte mode..... Upto Rs. 350 one will not be charged anything extra in the bill
