If we look at the design, we notice there is small holder (round structure) above (center) of this apparatus. Some kind of utensil will be placed there. When the apparatus is put in sunlight, the utensil will get heated by the reflection of sunlight from all those mirrors we see.
Just a wild guess though ....

How it's going to work in night times ,
