Yes bur since realme is now a independent company we can expect new UI or improvements faster.

Already realme 2 pro got a update of 160MB within few days of launch.

Also Madhav Seth CEO of Realme has said that many things will be improved in coming days in the OS.

Hope so with Android Pie Update we can see new changes in UI as they already announced that it'll receive 9.0 Update by 1st quarter of 2019.
