I bought an iPad Air M3 on Wednesday for which I spent Rs 59.9k. I primarily bought it for content consumption and reading.
Overall so far I’m liking the larger screen area.
I can also do multitasking on this. I can have upto 4 apps running simultaneously on this one. One of the very first things I did with this iPad is attend an manager round interview for a company where I had my browser open, the Google meet app for the vc and the onenote stickies to reply to questions during that round.
One of the things that I love-hate about this iPad is the default keyboard. In its expanded mode it has the full keyboard experience where we can swipe down on the keys which would act similar to how a Shift+<key> would work on a normal physical keyboard. But this doesn’t have one thing I really wanted: Swipe keyboard.
Technically it does exist, but for that you have to enable keyboard in freestyle mode. It would then convert to the iPhone keyboard that can be floated around. But then we lose all the other good things about the iPad keyboard. Only if Apple could merge the two keyboards it will be such a big UX upgrade.
I don’t intend to use the camera on the iPad. The sensor is the same as that of my iPhone 13 Pro Max and gives okayish results in today’s day and age. Camera control layouts seem okay to me. Not going to have gaming on this either other than CoC.
4K HDR shines nicely with apps like YouTube and Netflix
Overall a really good tablet so far. I’ve also ordered the Magic Keyboard that has the trackpad too, hopefully by Sunday I’ll get it.
