Definitely even if star and sony reached their budget, they will still kepp bidding, to make a bigger hole in Jio's pocket

But if Jio stop and don't bid then star/Sony has to pay that humongous amount

Err... this is not only Digital Rights. This is television rights too. So its not entirely dependent on internet. It is a bid for a broadcaster to get TV rights. If Jio wins, it will be Network18 channels, and they will launch plenty new channels too.
