“Sanju Samson has been included as a proper batsman, Pant will continue as wicket keeper. Sanju’s problem 3-4 years back was inconsistency. Now he has improved. Is it a joke? Explain how it is?
- For almost 1 full year, Rayudu was at the #4 position in ODIs. Then for WC, Vijay Shankar got selection as #4. Now he has disappeared in thin air from the Indian team, and now we have Iyer/Pandey/Pant/Sanju/Rahul all fighting for #4 (and possibly #5 if MSD doesnt return at all).
- Karun Nair was the #6 during England tests in 2016 where he scored a triple hundred. One series later, he was dropped and never seen again, with Hardik occupying that for a long time later until Vihari came in..
- Yuvraj Singh was the #4 for the England 2017 ODIs where he performed nicely and also in the CT 2017 where he performed decently. Then again 1 series later and an injury he was never seen in the Indian team again
- Continuous selection of Rishabh Pant despite repeated failures in both batting and keeping.
- Opening with Vihari for one of the Australia tests in 2018 despite having better option in Mayank.
- Continuous persistence with KL Rahul in tests where he was horribly out of form (now he is out, that's a good thing that he did)
