So let me join the party in exaltation of Amazon for a best shopping experience that an Indian eCommerce company has to offer
I would like with you guys something that I wanted to share for long so that being I want to share some of my best experience with Amazon in the span of 5 years
Smattering about me those who don't, I am differently abled person father is a busy man as always so I will for online shopping as much as possible and I am ready to pay little bit extra also because I get the product home delivered which is a big convenience for me so I order my grocery from Amazon also and I shop roundabout 6K to 8K from my toothbrush to my laptop to my books order from Amazon itself
As much as I love Amazon I still think that despite of having large pockets all they do is to compensate for the mistakes done and continue doing the mistakes
I have been a prime number since the pilot phase in India it is awesome
But they need to drastically improve in Logistics department
One day I had ordered some bottles from Amazon that was shipped via delhivery courier now my local delivery courier had the package lying down perfect 10 days before the delivery and I informed Amazon this said the usual but didn't take an action
Now in analogy two that I had ordered Moto X play from Flipkart ( I am quite rarely on Flipkart ) the product was lying for just around one day, escalated that to Flipkart and they got the local delivery guys to contact me within 10 minutes and deliver within 15 and it 10:30 . in the night , now that felt awesome if you ask me
Now let me say something great on Amazon
One day I had ordered set of 20 books from Amazon now all of them were Prime , but to my surprise Amazon had goofed up in here too they had charged me more than MRP though the price difference was like 5 rupees it was there for every book that I had ordered (that is quite common on Amazon the most of the times charge and refund double that, quite weird and unprofessional for a eCommerce company if you ask me )
Now the total price difference was like less than 50 rupees but they refunded me 300 rupees
Now come to another incident
I had ordered a book from them it was shipped from Chennai ,. Now the pickup was not available from Amazon side and due to Some restrictions no courier was able to pick it up from Odisha to Chennai , they told me to keep the book and refunded the money
Same is the case with their non returnable products.
Amazon needs to improve drastically respect to logistics and professionalism other than handing out compensations
