Im of afraid of how much tactics aittel can play for convert dth users to airfiber after tata play merger
Ngl I'm closely observing Airtel's moves, their Vittal - Mittal - Siddharth concoction is proving to be disastrous for end consumers. I miss those tatasky jingalala, BigTV days :verysad2: IPTV is legit over hyped by Airtel and its likes. I'm awaiting Musk entry with Shield TV box.

That means Airfiber users are cooked quite literally, Airtel has always been like this deploying shady tactics 😭 I was thinking about getting an airfiber unit now no more.
If you live in an urban area like me, consider waiting for Airtel Fiber availability in your area which will give you 3333 GB of data instead of AirFiber's 1000 GB. Considering they are actively expanding in various cities, I am expecting it soon in my locality also.

According to me and many others, AirFiber is not preferred if you want to have IPTV bundled subscription because IPTV will only take half of the data and bandwidth from the plan.

So yes, I live in semi urban township. Got access to all these and thankfully after reading bout all this have consciously chosen local fiber broaband along with their own tvbox services all costing under 1.5k. Very much satisfied. I have always known these airfiber are just sham and today going through all these materials only reaffirmed my beliefs.

Today on Airtel Iptv box home screen got the star 4k banner with clickable icon of watchnow but clicking on that take to star sport2hd channel so maybe they will start or in testing phase gods know but I hope they should start and don't delay it any further as it will be good marketing for their newly launch iptv box to get more customer.

It's Good and playing very smoothly no lag even switching channel you feel it's DTH and only once I faced problem while changing channel it's got stuck for few sec and then i press back button and it work properly. Infact yesterday Airtel has push one more software updates after initially software update when I switch on first time and on 40mbps it's working perfectly fine and I didn't feel that I am watch on internet protocol it's smooth like DTH

We can’t call it a sham.

I am on a 40mbps plan and get 60mbps speeds.

Also no downtime or speed drops of any sorts.

What speed test app are you using? I used to get 48 Mbps on my 40 Mbps plan until a few months back when they hard capped it to 40 Mbps. How are you getting 60 Mbps still?

Fun fact: Airtel AirFiber gives more than plan speed for the first month in most of the new connections. It can be a gimmick from Airtel end.

Someone I know who had taken Airtel AirFiber during it's initial (launch) days used to get 100 Mbps+ speed on the same 40 Mbps plan. Second month onwards he started getting terrible upload speeds along with less than promised download speed and later he stopped using it even before his billing cycle was over.

Damn Airtel has been cooking us in every water :ROFLMAO: ☠️ 100Mbps is starter to make your stomach full then comes the real tehelka food, can't throw can't digest. Did your friend leave it though?
