I would not go for BSNL even if it gave same benefits at fractional price, reason being i know that service would be lot worse than airtel or vodafone. Much wiser to stick with private operators who can manage things better with greater focus on customer satisfaction & taking responsibility while handle issues

Majority use bsnl for backup or for incoming purpose only as maintanence cost is only Rs51 for a year whereas it's Rs 35 per month in private operator. Hardly anyone uses it as main connection.

Right bro..

I tweeted to Vodafone and they confirmed the following.
Lets say i recharge Rs 35 on 1st May. Validity is 28 days.
Outgoing expires on 28th May.
Incoming expires on 12th June.
Now, Vodafone gives 90 days additional as grace period. If no recharge is done in these 90 days, number is permanently deactivated.

I have more than Rs 1000 main balance. Doesn't the above violate TRAI's Deduct Rs 20 and extend validity by 30 days rule? It is still mentioned in TRAI website - TRAI Handbook 2018.

Seems no body doing that instead of incoming grace period over they took whole amount ie) if I had 30 in my mom idea sim forgot to recharge after incoming period over 30 got vanished in one night 😔😔😠😠

I have intentionally stopped the auto-deduct service to maintain ongoing "service validity". This term service validity is a new thing coined by the telcos to fool us customers. Since I stopped the auto-deduct, it did not do it, but my question is why will they deactivate it in 90 days even when I have sufficient balance?

Coz that's there id*otic rule they don't want our balance instead they want plan recharge at least once in 90 days 😠😠
But TRAI rule clearly states that if Main Balance has > Rs 20, then deduct Rs 20 and extend the validity by 30 days. So as per TRAI rule, it should be extended. Instead Vodafone says they will permanently deactivate the number after 90 days.
