I don't understand why people are angry with AVoId ? Like Jio they also need money to operate. People began using Jio as primary and recharged combo packs keeping airtel/VodaIdea for almost free for incoming/backup so they are demanding at least 35 rupees per month if not recharged with unlimited/Combo packs.

But it is Jio who started this trend silently by forcing even a basic user to pay minimum Rs. 98 ( Rs. 49 for Jiophone users) per month. But as always, Ambanis know the trick to fool Indians and still take their money to become Richest of the rich. They started off with free service for few months and then introduced combo packs with bundled voice, SMS and data but with the gimmick called "free unlimited calls" But FREE means I make no balance recharge/no combo pack and then still avail Incoming/Outgoing right ? People are still in their old dreams of Jio offering things for free and worried when other operators (except BSNL Mobile) are asking for just 33% of what Jio charges for the lowest monthly recharge (Rs. 98)

But what if I don't need to use data or make too many calls ? I have to still pay at least 98 rupees to Jio per month (Rs. 49 for JioPhone) !

And frankly speaking about my personal experience, I used to love Jio for the 1st year or so but right now, when Combo packs cost same for Jio/Airtel, I have shifted my main connection to Airtel since Jio gives me mostly 1-5 Mbps, rarely upto 10 Mbps (that too, using 3 CarrierAggregation) while Airtel gives me 15-75 Mbps (with 3CA, upto 10-30 Mbps with 1 Carrier). But Jio is still better in coverage though but plagued with call issues/ net speed issues. If you do a survey across India, people across all regions will say this : Jio is no more the best in speed but it definitely has the best network coverage.

Meanwhile AVoId have screwed up validity issue by issuing circulars for monthly minimum recharge yet showing different long validities for different users (my 3-4 SIMs in family are showing validity ranging between Jan 2019 to Dec 2021 )

For those who are too worried, BSNL Mobile is the only solution now for low maintenance cost per month but mind you even for that you need to recharge validity vouchers of 6/12 months at least and the least 6months voucher costs around 30-36 rupees meaning expenditure of at least 5-6 rupees on average per month for incoming only. For Outgoing, you have to spend as per usage using Main Balance + STV unless you are using a Combo Unlimited pack.

For immediate relief, TRAI's step is welcome but TRAI and AVoId must come forward and bring clarity on this new move through extensive ads, newspaper notifications to avoid panic amongst users and at the same time to stop people from being fooled by 3x looter Jio who is easily enjoying repute by making gimmicks while taking 49-98 rupees per month from every subscriber !
can you explain one thing, suppose AVOID customer is having Rs.200 balance without recharge how long they will continue the service, or they will directly disconnect the connection/SIM.
is Rs.35 recharged amount of Rs.26 TT will add into main balance or not.
one thing JIO is giving unlimited call for Rs.98 and along with 2 GB data. on Rs.49 jio is giving unlimited calls and along with 1GB data.
if AVOID can provide for same price of JIO, people will take the service. for example those who doesn't want use data why they will take AVOID non-sensible costly packs. As you said airtel speed, currently i am using Docomo(airtel network) maximum speed is 1.5 Mbps.

I know I missed reading this earlier, but when did Jio start making Rs 98 recharge (minimum) mandatory fo reach month? If I dont recharge Jio after current valid plan expires, I wont get even incoming calls?
As long as you are prime member , you will get incoming calls

So according to your meaningless logic when Avoid were charging us 300rs/2gb "2G" net that was ok but suddenly when Jio arrived he fooled us ?? (Your statement suggest so) .He can fool 1 - 2 or max 1000 people , not entire India .
People were tired of these operators unethical trade practices . Remember nobody is here for charity . Jio saw an perfect opportunity and seized it . People were tired of AVoId but they had no option other than paying 300rs for 2G internet .

Why do you think people migrated to Jio ? Because if free or because of tired of AVoId ??
Why suddenly rate of internet dropped 94% when Jio arrived ??

This has to happen . Avoid looted customers before . Now they paid the price .
About speed , I get around 10mbps on Jio anytime at my location. Vodafone 4g speed reminded me of 2010

About your logic : everybody has its own choice what to choose and what not to . Beside that there is mass number of people who could hit hard as they earn less than 100/day.

Avoid looted money from our sims by activating vas & others, while jio not requires talk time. Jio is always best/better than Avoid.

I had one Jio SIM which I didn't recharge after a while and then got constant sms and calls asking to recharge as soon as possible to avail outgoing services. Then O/G was stopped, some days later Incoming was stopped and then soon the number was assigned to someone else. It is the same case like all other operators (except BSNL. BSNL SIMs, as per my experience take a very long time to be fully disconnected when not recharged/ not used).

Bro, honestly never heard of Jio number getting assigned to other due to non-recharge this sooner. They keep number idle even after years if you don't recharge (in my and many others case). Basically they want to increase customer base so assign new numbers.

Are you sure?

Well coming to Smart recharges, I can particularly talk about airtel. Airtel has started playing a bit of game too. You will find recharges of +/- Re.1 with similar looking but varying benefits.

Example : Rs. 35 Pack offers Main A/c Balance (it will never expire) along with sms/data however Rs. 34 recharge offers almost similar benefits but the talktime offered will be in dedicated a/c, meaning it will expire after the end of Rs. 34 pack validity (= 28 days). Carefully check the details of plans and MRPs of recharges of your circles before recharging.
