Right. But they are available on non-IPTV i.e. standalone wifi only plans too. Hence he can detach the Black bundle from those plans.
standalone plan is 498, for 40 mbps, some 15 % discount if subscribed for long term like 12 months

Airtel standalone plan starts from Rs.399/-(30 mbps) or Rs.499/-(40 mbps) with specific geographic areas.

Right. That's why I suggested him to opt for 599 or 699 plan based on availability on his region, to unbundle IPTV.

399 plan ( 10 mbps with dth) the trick of disconnecting the dth after a month and the plan automaticlly downgrading to 199 (10 mbps) does it still work?

No, it doesn't work anymore with this new plan.

That trick used to work with the Airtel stand-by plan. (Ref: Airtel Xstream Fiber broadband Stand-by (10 Mbps) plans starting at Rs. 199)

With this new 399 Airtel Black plan, you need to upgrade to 599 or 699 plan (availability based on region) minimum before able to detach IPTV from the connection.

Whats the difference with this new 399 plan?

did they fix the loophole :(

The old stand-by plan was available as standalone plan. It was not a Black plan when combined by wifi + dth also.

But there's no 199 wifi plan present on Airtel after detaching from 399 Black plan, hence you need to upgrade the plan before unbundling the IPTV.

Yeah.
