How have they identified 80-million "low income" subscribers? What is the criteria?

Can anyone confirm if their validity has been extended? By how much ?

Report mentions it will be done in next 48 hours, so lets wait and watch. Honestly, I do not fall among the groups for which this whole initiative is being taken, however, out of interest I will monitor it as to how the telcos are managing this.

An article in HT says,
Airtel has identified 80 million of its customers as low income users. The telco has however not clarified on what basis it categorises low income subscribers. Industry sources say low income users are identified on the basis of average revenue per user (ARPU). Users who don’t meet the ARPU cut off will be eligible for the benefit.

Also keeping an eye out on Vodafone's move.

Has anyone in this forum got any benefits from Airtel? Just asking for my analysis on telcos.
