Ya I saw Aseem Manchanda's tweet right now. They seem to have changed the rules this year. None of the previous auctions happened on Sundays.

Maybe they just want to get done with it today since all the major bidding is done already only the provisional results are pending.

Yes operators are just dragging it pointlessly. Could have just picked up 10 MHz and waited for a year, next year Dot itself would have freed up some more spectrum to auction in that band. Now DoT will purposely put up limited spectrum for sale to increase the competitive bidding.
