Bro, can you share the source for this?
Or its just speculations and / or wishful thinking as usual ???
This is insider ministerial news. Why do you think Vi has bought spectrum of worth some thousand Crores of rupees with no future in Indian Market with Ambanis Monolpoly? If government had not intervened in, then Vi would have went into insolvency just like RCom+Aircel. This is base for backdoor entry of Adani which Ambani is opposing since 2019.

Adani even had a talks with Vodafone for their stake, but talks were not fruitful for obvious reasons.
Currently the government holds a larger stake in Vi than Vodafone and Aditya Birla group individually. And the government is open to selling it to any interested buyer as they had mentioned that they have no interest in running the company and had accepted the equity as an interim measure with the objective of monetising it at an opportune time. So why didn't Adani just buy the government's stake in Vi if Vodafone group wasn't willing to sell theirs? And even Aditya Birla group is desperate to exit the joint venture since they know Vi won't sustain the inevitable duopoly that the market is headed towards and if Adani were to offer them, they would sell their stake to them in an instant. Wonder where they are headed, we will know in due course of time.

If DoT had not reserved one block of 2100 MHz for BSNL then the availability in UP East would've been better and this over-competitive bidding for 1800 MHz wouldn't have happened. If the same level of competition sustains today then the price per 0.2 MHz block will increase to 32 Cr, at which point the 5 MHz block price will reach 800 Cr same as the 850 MHz band and one of the operators will prefer to go for band 5 instead, ending the deadlock. So ideally today the auction should conclude, if not then by mid-day on Monday. Dot should further shorten the clock rounds to 30 mins to accelerate the bidding process.

yes i was thinking if availability in 900/2100/2300/2500. then also no overbidding would arise.
secondly if DOT would hwve taken back spectrum from aircel, then spectrum put for auction would have been Really Abundance , as opposed to current situation where all telco just bidding in one particular band in one circle where real scarcity exist, which none of media/analyst or experts highlighted opinion before start of auction .

In simple words media/analyst or experts are puppets or dumb to show real picture .

So what's the reason to increase debt by buying nonsense 5G spectrum if they are not going to sustain monopoly? You are saying duopoly. I consider that's monopoly. If your judgement is right about n28 of Jio holding, then Jio is miles ahead. Airtel is nowhere in competition. Airtel will only survive due to Vi death. Otherwise for me it's monopoly?

Vi will be unable to survive the onslaught of Jio and Airtel unless they find an investor with deep pockets. But if they had chosen to not bid for 5G altogether then it would have just accelerated their demise. You can't afford to be a generation behind in technology. Ofcourse they could have recycled their 2500 MHz spectrum and used it for 5G but the device ecosystem for that is weak and it would jeopardize the quality of 4G network also and that would further accelerate the migration of high paying customers towards Jio and Airtel. Frankly right now Vi is just trying to pick the lesser painful way of dying.
