Again a one sided article. The journalist didnt even try to find out why the speed is so low in urban and metro areas. In Bhubaneswar Aircel I get 1 Mbps download speed whereas the guy in lucknow gets only 200 kbps. Why the difference, the company is same. You ll be amazed even the people living in main london get below 500 kbps download speeds in 3G. Its easy to blame but technical reality is different.

Indian operators have only 5 MHz spectrum for 3G whereas our European counterparts has 20 MHz spectrum for 3G per operator. Our metro population is unmatchable. So more users + less bandwidth = less speed.

I totally agree with this
more users + less bandwidth = less speed :tup
But don't u think that it also implies less money. But look at the 3G data charges of Airtel. 10 Gb cost Rs 1500. Is it fair ?:no

On top of that they are telling that u cannot use this Rs 1500(10 GB data) to use VOIP/OTT services or watch certain website and to use those services or watch website u need to pay more.

This is daylight robbery

A user is not concern with any technical reality or any other infrastructure of any ISP . If they Don't have Band width then why the companies are going to add more users. I think this is reality that we are getting 3G at 2G speed no doubt about it, Apart from some metro cities.

If the ISP Companies can't deliver the mention speed then they are also not Eligible to get the amount we are paying to them.

rushil ji - forget abt 3gb, think like that unlimited net @ 512 kbps at just 549rs
b4 that i was paying 1800 rs but 2-3 days back i changed my plan to 550rs
so my plan now is - 550 + 100 rs for unlimited calling = 650 + service tax
