1Rx16 RAM vs DDR RAM

Dear All Friends,

My Desktop include 2 nos. of 256 MB RAM, and windows XP (SP-2). I want to increase my RAM and buy online.

I remove the RAM and see written as 1Rx16.

Which type of RAM attached. DDR1, DDR2 and DDR3???

I so many search at shopclues, but i can not see this type of RAM. So, expert tell me. What type of RAM will support in my computer

400Mhz is the RAM speed while 333Mhz is the FSB speed... check wiki for details on RAM speed and FSB speed... tup

MOLOY dear if i am not wrong your make is samsung and your ram is DDR2 400Mhz ram so you can go with any DDR2 RAM with 400Mhz if you want to run 2 ram at one time else your computer will pick smaller one as default.

ram 1 : DDR 2 - 400 Mhz(256MB)
ram 2 : DDR 2 - 650 Mhz(1GB)

computer wil pick
Ram : DDR 2 - 400 Mhz (1 GB + 256 MB)
main problem : you will not earn high frequency benefits.
to earn benefits playing with setting will result in.
Ram : DDR 2 - 650 Mhz(1 GB only)
Error : Old low Frequency ram will stop working.

My experience on this is of 1 year as in past i worked as computer hardware guy on hardware shop so you can 100% trust on this info.

vicky bro your one seem other problem for hanging as i have seen 80 gb hard disk computer with c:\ has 40 gb and on 2 gb it work smooth and even on other side 512 GB hard disk having only 40gb in c:\ and works smooth even on less then 1 gb RAM.
ram is required when you have so many programs on back or just one program on front with heavy ram load.

here are some examples

low load programs : winamp media player, VLC media player, stardock suites & many
heavy load programs : adobe photoshop,adobe flash editor(flash prfessional not flash player),corel draw, corel video editor, autodesk 3D MAX & many others.

already i have using 500gb hardisk & 1gb ram it's working fine & i will replace with 1tb hardisk onwards hanging & very slow & i replace the harddisk due to my old hardisk is not working & if possible please tell what is the issue in my cpu:sp
