Micromax Informatics Ltd. has announced that the homegrown company will be entering the refrigerator and washing machine segment in India. Targeting the mass segment, Micromax will launch 8 models of refrigerators, 16 models of Washing Machines, 10 models of air conditioners and 8 models of air coolers. With this diversification, the company aims to achieve 2000 crore revenue by 2020, with a 30 percent share for Consumer Electronics segment by March 2019.

The BCCI is planning to replace the official kookaburra ball with SG white for India's limited overs matches at home.

The matter was discussed at length during the Annual Domestic Captain-Coaches' Conclave in Mumbai where another pressing issue was poor standard of umpiring.

In India, the first-class matches as well as the Test matches are played with SG Test brand while kookaburra whites were used for the limited overs matches.

YouTube is the top digital platform with 178.1 million MAUs followed by Hotstar at 48.1 million. Trailing SonyLIV is Amazon Prime Video with 13.4 million active users. Voot is at number 5 with 10.7 million active users. Netflix and Zee5 have 6 and 5.6 million users respectively.

Bangladesh plane carrying 67 passengers crashes in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: A Bangladeshi aircraft carrying 67 passengers crashed on Monday while coming in to land at the airport in Kathmandu, an airport official said, adding that 17 people on board had been rescued.
The state of the other people on the flight from the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, operated by US-Bangla Airlines, was not clear, airport spokesman Birendra Prasad Shrestha said.
