Breaking India could host first day-night Test against West Indies in October: BCCI

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) says it is exploring the possibility of holding a day-night Test when West Indies tour India later this year. Syed Saba Karim, general manager of cricket operations at the BCCI, said the board is in favor of holding day-night Tests in India, following the example set by host nations such as Australia and South Africa.

The first day-night Test in India could happen in October , when the West Indies visit the country to play three Tests, five one-day matches and one Twenty20 game."There is a strong reason why we should have day-night Tests," Karim told the Times of India .

Hyderabad, Mar 11 (PTI) Cracking the whip against underage driving, as many 69 parents have been jailed in Hyderabad over the past one month for allowing their minor children to drive, police said. The Hyderabad Traffic Police (HTP), as part of its campaign against underage driving found minors in the age group of 14-16 years, driving bikes, scooters and cars and in some cases even three-wheelers, without driving licences, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) A V Ranganath said.

BENGALURU: Former India cricketer and U-19 team coach Rahul Dravid and badminton Olympian Saina Nehwal were among the celebrities who had parked their funds in a Bengaluru investment firm accused of cheating at least 1,776 investors of hundreds of crores of rupees, police said on Tuesday.

Police sources said Dravid and his family members had invested Rs 35 crore with Vikram Investments and managed to get back about Rs 20 crore. Dravid himself accounted for investments worth Rs 20 crore over the past six years and got Rs 12 crore back, they added. Nehwal reportedly invested around Rs 1.5 crore and got back Rs 75 lakh. Former Karnataka cricketer Avinash Vaidya also figures among the list of people who parked their money with the firm.
