Snapdeal acquiring ShopClues

Online marketplace Snapdeal is close to buying its nearest rival ShopClues in an all-stock deal, two people familiar with the matter said, after the on-again, off-again talks fell through earlier following disagreement on its financial terms.

The deal is likely to see Shop-Clues investors get one Snapdeal share for every nine they hold if the merger goes through in this planned structure, and will likely give them a 10% stake in the combined entity.

“The ask from Shopclues is to get at least a 30% stake in Snapdeal as part of the transaction,” said one of the persons.

Sad News 10 including NDA ally gunned downed at Itanagar

ITANAGAR: Suspected NSCN terrorists on Tuesday gunned down sitting MLA and NPP assembly poll candidate Tirong Aboh and ten others, including his son and security personnel, in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh, a top police officer said.

Aboh (41), who represented the Khonsa West constituency, was seeking a re-election from the seat.

Initial reports suggested that seven people were killed in the attack, but Director General of Police (DGP) S B K Singh put the death toll at 11 later in the day.

Apple extends its keyboard repair program to newer MacBook Pro models

  • Apple has extended its keyboard repair program to 2018 MacBook Pro models.
  • The update also includes the MacBook Air models launched last year.
  • Apple’s keyboard repair program also includes the 2019 MacBook Pro models.
For those who don't know what the issue is:

Apple's MacBook Pro laptops have been in news in the past for their faulty keyboard design, which led the keys to stop reponding or register twice when used over a period of time owing to the collection of dust in the rubbery membrane beneath the keys. Apple, in a bid to fix the issue extended its Keyboard Service Program to repair all MacBook Pro models with the company's next generation keyboard model, also called the butterfly keyboard. However, the company left out its 2018 MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models out of the purview of this program. But now, Apple has made changes to its repair program and included all MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models, including the ones launched last year.

Extended warranties for TVs

Is It really worth to buy extended warranty. I bought samsung tv on 30 th may 2018. Warranty details:1 Year Comprehensive Warranty + 1 Year Additional on Panel. When i enquired samsung executive he told,for 1 year additional warranty, it costs 2250 rs. for 2 years ,it costs 3800rs ,, for 3 year additional warranty, it costs about 5000+ something. Is it really worth to buy extended warranty. I used to watch tv about 7 hours per day
