J&K Urban Body polls: BJP dominates Jammu, Congress in Valley, Leh

The BJP dominated the Jammu Municipal Corporation while the Congress emerged the single largest party in the Valley and Ladakh Saturday as results to the Jammu and Kashmir urban local bodies election were announced.

While the BJP emerged the clear winner in the JMC, securing 43 seats in the 75-member body against the Congress’s 26, the party lost ground in its urban strongholds, particularly in Kathua district, Chenab Valley region and Rajouri’s Kalakote area, where independents made big gains. In the 520 urban local body wards in Jammu, the BJP won 212, followed by independents (185) and Congress (110) and Panthers Party (13). While Congress is set to lead 12 municipal bodies in Kashmir, the BJP for the first time will lead six municipal bodies in the Valley, in the absence of competition from NC and PDP.

NDRF deployed in Assam, Arunachal after sudden flood warning

At least 32 National Disaster Rescue Force (NDRF) have been deployed in various districts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday following warning of a sudden flood. The NDRF will move to the districts as and when required.

Earlier on Sunday, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday directed authorities in districts bordering Arunachal Pradesh to "remain alert" for possible flash flood after China informed India about a landslide blocking a river in Tibet leading to the formation of an artificial lake.

Auto, Taxi unions in Delhi to go on strike on Monday

Commuters in the national capital may face problems as auto-rickshaw and taxi unions have decided to go on a strike on Monday against the Delhi government's policies on cab aggregators.

"Auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers are losing their employment due to wrong transport policies of the government and also due to low fares offered to commuters by cab aggregators," said Inderjeet Singh, chairman of the All India Tour and Transport Association.

Everytime we see cashbacks missed for few users and if they tend to forget they are at loss.

I don't understand why they frame offer such that cashbacks are given after 2-3 months and they provide limited time support for issues with it.

yes, Only instant cashback is good. these cash backs needs to be carefully handled and followed up, else we would be the looser.

Hope so with Android Pie Update we can see new changes in UI as they already announced that it'll receive 9.0 Update by 1st quarter of 2019.
