Sites, such as OnlyTech, which are routing me through other regions are working fine.

Ping is lower again. Not exactly stable though. Still going around 27-50ms. Was also having trouble accessing a website.

Yes, it is a basic request but Indian ISPs prefers not to easily replace their ONT unless it completely stops working.

Speaking about my JioFiber connection, I have been using the same ONT for since 4+ years and now it has multiple issues. For example, it can not get VOIP configuration from ACS after ONT is reset. I can not manually configure it either because the ONT is totally locked. I can not get it replaced either because there's no visible issue as per the Jio engineer.

Similarly, when I used to have Railwire Broadband, the LCO provided a cheap ONT whose VLAN ID used to auto reset on ONT reboot but he never fixed that which he initially promised to do via firmware update neither replaced the ONT till I disconnected the connection.

So almost every Indian ISP is a nightmare when it comes to ONT replacement.

That's true also for Engineering and medical colleges.Come down to south most of these professional colleges are linked to some politician or matth or missionary etc and are untouchable.These same people are lawmakers what do you expect?Also,our IT rules makes it easy to funnel black money through educational institutes or hospitals or though NGO's.This is the sad reality and no one will dare to touch it.

I also had no issues since 2021-2024, however this year i faced many issues like the ones you have mentioned. So i switched to Airtel Fiber.
