This has happned with me also i tried recharging my father's bsnl sim which had recharge i thought new plan will start when current one ends like jio but sadly no,

Current recharge gets vanished if you do new recharge while current recharge is active,

In your case 1st recharge you've done is gone now only 2nd one which you have done via imobile is only valid now.

At first don't have secondary sims. I have seen people lose numbers linked to Aadhar because they forgot to recharge there Vi or Airtel sim as they had switched to Jio as primary number. If you have secondary sim for emergency purposes. Go for annual plans. Worth it if you want to retain the number.

In my opinion link all the documents like Aadhar, PAN, Bank, utility bill with primary numbers and continue or port it to your favourite network.
And, even if you want to keep your secondary sim active simply switch to BSNL and recharge with 1199 after entering into Grace Period 2 as I've explained here.
