In a move to fortify its market presence, Bharti Airtel announced on Monday the inauguration of 14 new retail stores in Pune, further expanding its footprint in the city. The addition of these outlets supplements the telecom giant’s existing network of 29 stores in Pune. The company boasts a network of 1,500 stores across the country.

The newly established stores are located in key neighborhoods, including Pashan, Phursungi, Pimple Gurav, Dighi, BT Kawde Road, Dhayri, Sangvi, Keshav Nagar, Chikali, Lohegaon, Bhosari, Wadgaon Sheri, Nigdi, and Katraj Kondwa. According to Airtel, these locations have been chosen to enhance the accessibility of its services and ensure an unparalleled customer experience.

Airtel emphasized that these stores will not only serve as points of customer interaction but also as showcases for the latest technologies within the company’s diverse portfolio. Themed around “creating excellence and winning customers for life,” these neighborhood stores aim to exhibit the entire range of Airtel’s offerings, including cutting-edge technologies like Xstream, Xsafe, and 5G Plus.

To deliver what Airtel describes as an “unparalleled” service experience, the company has trained its store staff, referred to as ‘Airtel Friends,’ to proficiently handle and resolve customer queries across all segments of Airtel’s portfolio, spanning mobile, broadband, and DTH services.

George Mathen, CEO of Bharti Airtel Maharashtra, highlighted the significance of customer-centricity in this expansion initiative. He stated, “Customer obsession continues to be the core tenet driving us at Airtel as we embark on a massive retail expansion in the state of Maharashtra.” Mathen further emphasized that these neighborhood stores aim to be one-stop shops catering to a spectrum of customer needs, ranging from mobile services to broadband and DTH offerings.
