Telecom giant Bharti Airtel last week bagged a fresh Unified License (UL) – Virtual Network Operator (VNO) license from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) with multiple license authorizations. The telecom giant has bagged Internet Service Provider (ISP) – A, National Long Distance (NLD), and International Long Distance (ILD), and Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) authorisation as part of its fresh VNO license,
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) granted the license to Bharti Airtel vide license number 20-1218/2020-AS-I and application ID VN20200232. The license was issued by the Telecom Department on 21st October 2021 and signed on the very same date. The tellecom giant has bagged the authorisations with its fresh UL (VNO) license on a pan-India basis with DoT declaring service area as ‘National Area’ for the various authorisations.

For the unversed, Bharti Airtel had recently eceived authorization from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for multiple Access Service licenses under its existing Unified License (UL). The company also bagged ILD and NLD service license authorization under the Unified License regime.
