Airtel launches 5G services at Terminal 2 of Bengaluru Airport

Airtel 5G Plus is enabled in Terminal 2 of Bengaluru Airport with customers set to experience upto 20-30x speeds vs 4G when they visit the terminal.

Bharti Airtel has launched its recently rolled out Airtel 5G Plus services at the new terminal of the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru. The new terminal is heading towards its formal inauguration this month.

The deployment of Airtel 5G Plus in Terminal 2 will allow passengers to access the ultrafast 5G network on their mobile phones while at the arrival and departure terminals, lounges, boarding gates, migration and immigration areas, security gates, baggage claim belt areas etc. Customers will experience up to 20-30x speeds vs 4G when they visit the terminal.

The telco’s Airtel 5G Plus service recently crossed the 1 million unique customers mark. It has been operational in Delhi, Varanasi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Siliguri, and Nagpur since last month.

Airtel’s existing customers with 5G smartphones can enjoy high-speed Airtel 5G Plus on their existing data plans. They don’t need to change the SIM as the existing Airtel 4G SIM is 5G enabled.
