Telecom service provider Reliance Jio has launched its True 5G services in Uttarakhand starting from Dehradun. According to the company, Jio True 5G is rolling out at a rapid pace and is the only 5G service to be present in Dehradun. Jio has also launched its True 5G services in six key cities of Tamil Nadu, including Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Salem, Hosur, and Vellore.
In Uttarakhand, Jio claims to have a strong network coverage across the state, from the state capital, Dehradun, Mana, to the last Indian village in Uttarakhand towards the Indo-Tibet border. Further, the company said it is the only operator in the state, that is present in all the Char Dhams, on the trek route of Shri Kedarnath Dham and at Shri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, situated at an altitude of 13,650 meters.
In Tamil Nadu, the Honorable Minister for Information Technology & Digital Services, Thiru T. Mano Thangaraj, inaugurated the Jio True 5G services in Coimbatore in the presence of Dr. Neeraj Mittal, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Information Technology & Digital Services Department, TN Government. The company said it invested more than Rs. 40,000 crores in deploying 5G networks in Tamil Nadu and employed almost one lakh people in the state.
With this launch, Jio True 5G services are now available in 101 cities across the country. Reliance Jio users in Dehradun, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Salem, Hosur, and Vellore with 5G smartphones will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer to experience unlimited 5G mobile data at up to 1 Gbps speeds at no additional cost.
