Reliance Jio on Friday, January 27, announced the launch of Jio True 5G across 7 cities in 6 states of the North East circle. With this, the telecom operator has activated 5G services in a total of 191 cities in a time frame of less than 4 months since its Beta rollout of the 5G network began.
Eligible Jio users located in Arunachal Pradesh (Itanagar), Manipur (Imphal), Meghalaya (Shillong), Mizoram (Aizawl), Nagaland (Kohima and Dimapur), and Tripura (Agartala) will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer from today so that they can enjoy Unlimited Data at up to 1 Gbps+ speeds, at no additional cost.
“Such a large rollout that covers every state in the North-East circle is testimony to Jio’s commitment towards the development of the circle. By December 2023, Jio True 5G services will be made available in every town and taluka of the North-Eastern states,” Jio said in a statement.
To be eligible for unlimited data at up to 1 Gbps+ speed under the Jio 5G Welcome Offer, Jio users need to have an active postpaid connection or an active prepaid base plan of Rs 239 or higher. After being invited for the offer, unlimited 5G data will be available for your usage on the 5G network and the data balance of your active base plan will be used for your usage on the 4G network.
