American computer technology brand Dell has launched new Dell UltraSharp 27 and Dell UltraSharp 32 monitors. These monitors are the first to be based on “IPS Black” technology which was unveiled by LG earlier this year at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022. This technology offers deeper black by doubling the contrast ratio.
Specifications
As the name suggests, the Dell UltraSharp 27 and Dell UltraSharp 32 monitors measure 27-inch and 32-inch respectively. They have a 3,840×2,160 pixels resolution, refresh rate of 60Hz, 400 nits maximum brightness, 16:9 aspect ratio. They use IPS Black technology and have a maximum contrast ratio of 2,000:1 instead of the usually offered contrast ratio of 1000:1.
Both the Monitors cover 100% of the Rec 709 and sRGB colour gamuts and support 98% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It also has low blue light output. The display is VESA certified DisplayHDR 400 with true 8-bit image quality and global dimming ability for a better dynamic contrast ratio.
They come with anti-glare coatings and 3H hard coatings to protect the screen from general scratches and drops. The monitors offer standard 5ms to 8ms GtG response time. For connectivity, there is an HDMI port, DisplayPort, a USB Type-C port and three USB 3.2 Gen2 ports.
Pricing and Availability
The Dell UltraSharp 27 comes with a price tag of $779.99 (about Rs. 58,600) and the Dell UltraSharp 32 is priced at $1,149.99 (about Rs. 86,500). They are listed on Dell’s US website available with three years of advanced exchange service free of cost.
