RuPay card transaction work smoothly, apply RuPay debit card from private bank or small finance bank or SBI bank. Other govt banks, co-operative banks etc service are worst.

First thing you should know NPCI/RuPay is a private company, maximum shares owned by govt banks and private banks like HDFC, ICICI HSBC, Citi bank etc. Infact very few percentage also owned by Amazon, Walmart's phonepe, paytm bank, mobikwik and other private fintech companies and big giant multinational companies. NPCI operate like any other private companies.

When NPCI was set up, its main objective was to digitize all Indian small banks and public sector banks. currently, 1150+ banks issuance RuPay cards and 1000+ bank now support RuPay card E-com transaction. These are very small banks, These banks do not have enough funds to use best technology service provider (ACS / Switch service provider).

HDFC, ICICI, SBI and other big private banks use their own servers, build their own technology service provider and invest a lot of money to build their own payment infrastructure.

All RuPay card negative news you will be hear from small banks or other public sector banks. I always use private banks RuPay card. Never faced any problem on RuPay card transaction but yes sometimes there are problems due to technical reasons like last time in march month or april, ICICI RuPay debit card was not working properly, sometime server time out error was happening on 3d secure page. I complained to ICICI bank they took 2 weeks but after that till now i have not face any problem yet.

One more thing, apply for RuPay Platinum debit card because RuPay Platinum debit card offer 20% off upto 100 per month on AmazonPay wallet load on fridays. Also offer on Swiggy 20% off upto 100 per month on fridays.

As per my self experience Rupay card is really worst 😫
Use RuPay card of private banks, small finance bank or SBI bank for best payment experience. :)

Card transaction proceed by banks, if bank have poor payment infrastructure, you will get poor service. Before RuPay only 40-50 banks issue cards in India and after RuPay 1150+ banks issue cards in India.
