The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has started receiving the MIUI 10 Global Beta 9.3.25 update which also brings Android 9.0 Pie and April security patch for the smartphone.
Xiaomi is Rolling out MIUI 10.3.1 Android 9 Pie update for Redmi Note 5 smartphone.
Currently this update is only available for users in China. It is going to be rolled out to global users very soon.
Along with other changes the update includes many Android 9.0 Pie features such as New system navigation, Smart Text Selection, Redesigned Quick Settings, Simplified Volume Controls, New Dashboard, App Timer, New Do Not Disturb mode and Wind Down feature.
App Lock: Added support for unlocking apps via face
Clock: Fix the problem that the timer page button clicks blink; fix the problem that the clock flashes on a special date.
Calculator: Fix the problem that the calculator crashes when the little Xiaoai is not turned on
Album: Add photo text watermark editing, added a variety of art watermark styles
Weather: Added cloudy and hazy animations; optimized 15-day trend interface adaptation; optimized large font and screen density related issues
Settings: optimize the settings page for the system application
Xiaoai: Added voice wake-up feature
Game Acceleration: Added the phone floating window function which allows the phone to display the gaming state using the floating window
