China ROM Public Beta Schedule
MIUI 9 Developer ROM Public Release Timeline

1) August 11th, 2017
MIUI 9 China / Global Developer ROM for Mi 6, Mi 5X, and Redmi Note 4X Qualcomm will be released to the public!


2) August 25th, 2017
MIUI 9 China Developer ROM for Mi MIX, Mi Note 2, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi 5c, Mi Max 2, Mi Max 32G, Mi Max 64G/128G, Mi 4S, Mi 4c, Mi Note Pro, and Redmi 4X will be released to the public!


3) From late September, 2017
MIUI 9 China ROM for all the other Xiaomi / Redmi devices (except Mi 1/1S and Mi 2A) will be successively released to the public!

The MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM is arriving this Friday!

The very first batch of supported devices for MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM will be Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm / Redmi Note 4X and Mi 6. Existing Beta ROM users with the latest MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM can get the update through OTA.

The second batch of supported devices for MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM will be including Mi MIX / Mi Note 2 / Mi 5 / Mi 5s / Mi 5s Plus / Mi Max 2 / Mi Max / Redmi 4/4X.

The third batch of supported devices for MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM will be including Redmi 2 / Redmi 2 Prime / Mi 3 / Mi 4 / Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm / Redmi Note 3 Special Edition / Redmi Note 4 MTK / Mi 4i / Redmi Note 2 / Redmi Note Prime / Mi 2/2S / Mi Note / Redmi 3/Prime / Redmi 3S/Prime / Redmi 4A.

Second and Third batch release date will be announced later.

The update is Nightly which means it is pushed to some random users at first before everyone getting it in a few days.
On the forums it is being said that there isn't much new in it except just the name Nougat. There are also a few bugs. Waiting for a much more detailed review.
