Today is the day that Xiaomi finally made Xiaomi Mi 5X official.

Bit by bit we saw the Mi 5X leaked to the point where the announcement doesn't bring any surprises. The Mi 5X has a 5.5" 1080p screen, a Snapdragon 625 chipset with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a dual 12MP camera on the back - the same as the setup on the Xiaomi Mi 6.

Xiaomi boasts of the Mi 5X's discreet antenna design and a smooth anti-fingerprint coating.

The Xiaomi Mi 5X comes with the new Nougat-based MIUI 9 which brings forth a lot of improvements like Xiaomi's Smart Assistant, built-in Image Search, a new file system and much more.

The battery capacity is 3,080mAh, which sounds decent enough given the efficient chipset.

Xiaomi Mi 5X is official with dual-camera

Xiaomi India's Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain on Monday announced that the company will be launching its first dual-camera phone in India in September. Interestingly, Jain didn't specifically mention the smartphone model that will be launched in India next month. Among other options, Xiaomi Mi 5X currently looks to be the frontrunner for India launch in the company's product portfolio with dual camera setup.
