Taking another step up towards the effort, Xiaomi has today announced a new feature, called ‘Service Order Status’.
Essentially, it works like you can track your orders on a food delivery app or on an e-commerce site. Service Order Status will allow you to track the status of a device’s repair on mi.com. As of now, if you drop your device at a service centre for over-a-day repair, you have to ideally wait for a call to know when you can pick it up.
Checking the status is quite simple. Xiaomi has created a webpage dedicated for the Service Order Status, which also links within the mi.com website. Simply head to the webpage, and you will be asked to enter your contact/order/service/IMEI/Sn no. whatever applies to you. Once you confirm that, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Add that OTP and hit Submit. And you are done. You can now see the status of your service order along with the details of your device.
