There are some points to ponder with these results. China , Japan and Brazil( Don't know why) with 1 bronze medal and India looking to secure first through Neeraj Chopra. The Govt is spending a lot on the athletes and the sportspersons should at least perform at par with the national records. We are looking to host Olympics in future but our sports culture had to do more to be called a sports nation. We had definitely improved but to be called a sporting nation a lot more to be done. Political leaders should not be leading the sports bodies and the culture should be imbibed from school onwards and encourage sports from the grass root level.
