As the app logs-in inside Hotstar app your Jio ID get linked with Hotstar, hence lesser ad. Still i prefer watching Jio TV instead of hotstar. Because the app(hotstar) is buggy, by buggy i mean the picture resolution doesn't work properly. It changes to auto mode in its own. No mini player mode like Jio/Youtube is another disadvantage!

Thats the biggest joke!! THERE IS NO RESOLUTION SETTING WHEN PLAYING CHANNELS THROUGH HOTSTAR!!!

Yes, jio tv is much much better than hotstar. That's why we were not updating till now!

 Moreover, if I come back to jio tv and try to play a different channel through hotstar, it won't play, saying check internet connection. We have to clear hotstar from ram before playing another channel!!! What a mess!!

Latest hotstar app having resolution settings.

360p, 720p etc..

It reduces the PQ to bad quality even when we are on a LTE network.. So resolution setting option is needed...
