Here, try this. It should work.


Open device manager. Select ur display adapter. Disable and Enable it.

Then, disable adaptive brightness setting. To do this:

Go to Start Screen, type Control Panel and open the Control Panel. From the “Set the View by” dropdown, choose Category Now select Hardware and Sound.> Power Options> Change plan settings> Change advanced power settings Now from the list Expand Display and Expand Enable adaptive brightness Alter the setting and make it as OFF and finally click on OK. Then try to reduce brightness

It's not working.......When I disabled display adapter screen went black to make it enable I did a restart.......I'm on a sony laptop

what about the 2nd part ? its called adaptive control. try the 2nd part...it must work !

adaptive brightness didnt work ?
it should...try again, make sure UAC is off.

what went wrong ? can u get me an screenshot ? i dont understand, it works most of the tym !
