Batsmen have learnt to read his balls and he has leaked way too many runs this year and not picked up much wickets compared to sundar or chahal. In fact he was the most expensive player today.
On pitch were every spinner was taken to cleaners he picked up 2 crucial wickets of Hetmyer and Holder, even after going plenty of runs he has guts to flight the ball and pick up wickets which Chahal doesnt have.
What if you have to contain runs at the start and destroy the opposition use of powerplay? Sundar would rather be more useful there than the run-leaker-and-less-wicket-taker Kuldeep.
Anyday I will prefer bowler who will gives me Wickets 4-40-3 is much better than 4-22-0
Which have unfortunately dried up for your player. He isn't justifying his selection in the team. I'm even thinking that he won't make it to the world cup if he doesn't have a good IPL.
One bad IPL doens't mean he has lost his charm.
Would you pick someone who gives you mostly 24-30 runs in 4 overs without many wickets over someone who leaks mostly 40-60 runs in 4 overs and take 1-2 wickets? I'd pick the former.
Over the last 2 series, chahal numbers have proven why he should be picked over run leaker Kuldeep.
