If you’ve had he chance to test out the new WhatsApp 2.16.150 beta version for Android, you may have noticed a really fun feature that allows you to draw and also to add effects to your pictures such as shadows, arrows or circles.
The feature appears in this new WhatsApp version and it’s added to the list of implemented features. Some users are wondering if the drawing can also be done from the chat which would be an awesome feature, but so far there no evidence that could hint to that.
The new WhatsApp 2.16.150 beta for Android comes with many changes such as an increased size by 27KB and 421 modified files related to all of the app’s functions. Some of those newly added files are 6 icons and out of those, two are named draw_tool_background_selectedl.xml and draw_tool_background_normal.xml. They both obviously refer to the new drawing feature.
If you haven’t had the chance to try the WhatsApp beta but you want to, know that you can download it from the Google Play Store. It’s very easy to install and it’s also just as easy to stop the beta testing. It’s also important to know that you will not be receiving any updates during the testing because that is something that only happens to stable versions of apps
However, you should keep in mind that the WhatsApp 2.16.150 beta for Android is most likely riddled with errors and some have reported warning messages as soon as the installation starts. This is actually a situation that goes for any beta app that you might want to download, install and use.
But, in the case of WhatsApp betas, they are known to be less of a nuisance in terms of errors, crashes and warning messages.
