Robin Peterson in doubt for 2nd Test against West Indies
Robin Peterson, South Africa's
bowling all-rounder, has picked up
an injury on his left index finger and
is in doubt for the Boxing Day Test
against the West Indies that will start
from December 26. Peterson injured
his finger during a fielding drill.
Despite not playing the first Test in
Centurion, Peterson was said to be in
line to play the second Test as the
track in Port Elizabeth is expected to
offer assistance to spinners.
If Peterson is ruled out of the second
Test then, Imran Tahir, the leg-
spinner, may make a comeback.
Peterson has taken 38 wickets in 15
Tests at an average of 37.26.

Darren Sammy replaces Kemar
Roach in West Indies ODI squad
Former captain, Darren Sammy has
been included in West Indies' 15-man ODI squad for the ODI series against South Africa as a replacement for the injured Kemar Roach. Sammy, along with Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard, was left out of the original squad announced by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), last Saturday.
Roach, who injured his ankle in the
first Test against South Africa in
Centurion, has flown back to West
Indies for recovery and rehabilitation
work. The sacking of experienced trio hadn't gone down well with the
player' attorney, Ralph Thorne, who
accused the WICB of victimization in
a radio interview.
