The Subtle Art of Not Giving That is just an average documentary. It felt like an youtube explanatory version of the book. A different but a boring concept.

Bawaal on Prime is absolutely nightmarish stuff. Left it midway.
I already knew that when they released it on OTT. No mainstream actors have skipped a good movie from theatre for OTT, pre or post lockdown. Before lockdown gems like Drive came on Netflix. Now gems like Bawaal.

Took the risk and watched Bawaal. And to my surprise, it was actually pretty good. The plot/idea was really unique. The dialogues and comedy were really poor and cringe like every other Bollywood movie. The songs were really amazing. Especially Arijit Singh's Tujhe Kitna Pyaar Karte. Overall a pretty entertaining watch.

If you are thinking of casually watching something this weekend, you can go ahead and watch it. But if you are someone who nitpicks every frame, then probably it's not for you.

(7.5/10)

Man I know liking or disliking a movie is subjective, but do you really think comparing a man child of character and his sufferings to literal jew concentration camp as a base for the movie seems like a good idea?
Sometimes I might seem like that but it happens very rarely, Bawaal butchers this risky plot with being incompetent with its narrative and even incomparable dialogues like “Har rishta apne Auschwitz se guzarta hai” “We’re all a little bit like Hitler” like come on dude that can’t make sense not even in the slightest. Again to each to their own but this movie was sh#t. Only thing going for this one is that its shot in Europe with good cinematography and production.

My god. I didn't think so deep brother. 😭🤣 Forget deep. I didn't even try to scratch the surface. It was a chill Saturday afternoon and I thought let's watch a movie. Then I took my phone, laid in the bed, put my earphones on and started watching without thinking too much. And regarding the dialogues, I already said they were poor and cringey.

If we think so critically, we are never going to enjoy anything. Indian movies were always like this and we used to still enjoyed it. Then came the internet and ruined everything. Remember those days when we used to watch South Indian movies with family like Meri Jung: One Man Army where the girl falls in love with Nagarjuna just by saying that he's orphan? No one thought so much and we enjoyed the movie. Forget plot holes in movies. The movie itself was inside a plot hole. I miss those days. 😔

The old days people didn't had many things to do on outing.Hence,Cinemas even though they were mostly mediocre had a huge following and heroes were worshipped.Recently i was watching a youtube video where the theatre owners(Single Screen) were remembering the fandom and movie craziness. The likes of Kalia had dialogue started by Amitabh and completed by the crowd in theatres.People used to go with their beddings to stay overnight on roads to get ticket. Then came the era of id*ot box and all this craze of cinema was replaced by gossips around Saas Bahu serials. With the advent of OTT people were introduced to different genres of movies, series etc and hence the critical analysis of movies/serials also increased.
