Its BCCI fault What was so early to make Gill a Test Captain. He is still too young not a great test player specially in SENA too weak in defence. As Rohit Left Virat also retired because of Friendship i think

For me he is the greatest Indian Batsman after Sachin among players whom i have seen play.Unlike Sachin a lot of criticism aimed at him originated due to his off field activities and his abrasive personality.Indian Cricket team and fans are surely going to miss him,But now it is time to bed in the youngsters.

I'm very sad he's going to retire without completing 10k test runs and his average is gonna be below 50 because of bad form in last 3-4 years and also India's most successful test captain is retired without proper farewell

How fast time flies!

Still remember those 2016, 17, 18 and all like yesterday when I returned from school and sat in front of TV to watch both my idols Rohit & Kohli play and now in a blink of an eye, both have retired from cricket (upto an extent).

They are playing ODIs though, but I don't know how much of that is enough

It was an illustrious career and man what a childhood I had!

This is the thing I hate about BCCI the most. They don't give a proper farewell to our legends. Apart from Sachin, none of our legends like Dravid, Laxman, Kohli, Ashwin got proper farewell. Just learn from ECB how they properly plan farewells of their legends

Yeah but there was still a chance for a comeback if he had gone to domestic and worked on his game but I guess there was no hunger left in him anymore
