They did it again. They could've ended it perfectly. Now we'll be getting another season which is totally unnecessary and was not required.

I agree they could have ended! But then it's their successful show in comicbook genre besides Marvel ones which they don't have now. And in reality if Netflix cancels it even, there are chances it might get pick up by Peacock as Universal are ones behind the series just like Disney's abc studios was who made Marvel ones.
Besides Dark House publishes these graphic novels as Limited series and is right now working on 4th event limited series I guess. Let's see what Netflix does as its not renewed yet for season 3.

I won't deny. I love Umbrella Academy. I was the only one in my friend circle who watched S1, while others never even heard the name. I just don't want it to become bland & feel dragged like other Netflix Series (13RW, Stranger Things, etc).

Umbrella Academy imo will never get in position like Stranger Things or 13 RW for that matter as long as the original team is on board I feel and as far as they respect the source material.

13 Reasons Why was made as Limited series and because of its success they keep on dragging it even though the novel they adapted ended with S1. Stranger Things every season first half build really well and second half feels like we have seen that already in earlier seasons that's the issue imo. This show still has 2 limited series worth left to cover so I'm not that worried about dragging the show. See Daredevil ended perfectly in S3 imo but we still want S4 to be made because of its quality, so I'm hoping that would be the Case with show also.
