The difference is quicks took 13 wickets on Day 1 not spinners

If quicks take wickets on Day 1 it means slowly the wicket becomes better to bat on as match goes on.

If spinners take 13 wickets on Day 1 then the as match progresses the wicket degrades further and will help the spinners more
