Middle order is pretty weak. Australia have Harris and Renshaw, but England have much less choices.

Not yet. Pope isn't as important as Brooks / Crawley .

How come? He is solid number three position. Root doesn't have game for number three. Rest of the players doesn't have game for number three. For example, Malan, Vince, Sam Hain, Livingstone and I forgot the name of fifth player.

England should have sustainabled Malan as their number 3 . He was good . Only thing is that he needed some more mentorship from Brendon but instead, he was fired .

Malan is 35+ I believe. Not good for future. He got chances but didn't perform well enough. Played in 2017 series I guess. England looking for Pope as captaincy material. Let's see. Stokes can play for three years. Stokes, Bairstow and Root can retire after next WTC Final I believe. Broad and Anderson should go immediately.
