Introducing Tapatalk ID - your boarding pass to forums

If you are a regular user of our iPad version of Tapatalk, you might have noticed that we have quietly added Tapatalk ID support in the app. We are happy to write to you that we have added the same support on our Android app!

Tapatalk ID allows you to save your favorite forums under a single account, just like our previous attempt of Cloud Account, except it is more secure and universal that allows us to continue to build value-added features on top of it.

For examples, once you have signed in to your Tapatalk ID, forums you have visited on your Android phone will get sync with your iPad app at home too. So that you will never lookup the same forum again on different devices.

Tapatalk ID does not store your forum password and require you the login to the actual forum the first time you access the forum on a different device.

Tapatalk ID does, however, support multiple users on a same devices, e.g. if you and your spouse also happen to be members of different forums, you can easily switch your list of forums to his/her list with Tapatalk ID.

Looking forward, in subsequent versions of Tapatalk, we will include the ability to sync your Tapatalk add-on purchases across different devices too. E.g. if you have purchased our Color Pack on Android, the same items (if available) will be activated on your iPhone app as well.

From Forum Owner perspective, future version of Tapatalk Plugin will also support this ID just like Facebook Connect, allows much faster new registration on mobile devices, to drive more memberships to your forums.

Tapatalk ID is available on Tapatalk for Android, Tapatalk HD for iPad. We will post another update here as soon as our iPhone version is available.

Android : Tapatalk 2.4 Beta Testing​

Hello,

Our development team will be away for vacation for next few days and we thought we should release 2.4 as a beta so you can get a feel of what coming up next. We are still working on the ICS+ specific app but it will be on different track (so please don't ask why it is not yet ICS optimized). Visually there are not much change but we have refactored the code quite a bit so we want to make sure there are no regression issues. Here are the changelog:

- Added a new free color
- fixed JB editor text overlap issue
- Merge Announcement / Stickies and normal topics into a single list
- New Pagination buttons
- Bigger YouTube preview thumbnail
- Many other bug fixes and small enhancements

Also we will be introducing Tapatalk VIP feature to thank active users in this support forum, being a VIP you will get access to all in-app purchase for free. I hope this to encourage you to give constructive feedback and to improve the app going forward. We will have a system in place to grant users in this forum with VIP access (make sure your email address in this forum is the same address as in your Tapatalk ID)

Tapatalk HD for Android - Version 0.2 - Download and Feedback​

Here you go the first public preview of HD on Android. It works on ICS 4.0+ tablets. This app has been mostly developed on a 7" tablet so is more or less optimized for that screensize. If it looks strange on your device, make sure you take and post the screenshots. Some other highlights and outstanding issues / features:

- No moderation and search but will be included in next update or two
- Still working on the UI to improve the screen real estate and experience - it still need work
- Editor still need work
- Added a experimental "Gallery" feature which works on some popular forums.
- Support Tapatalk ID

Please do let us know if you have any issues and collectively we can improve the app. Please be noted that this is a separate app that can work alongside with your current purchase.

Lastly, we will upgrade the Tapatalk ID to VIP status among some of you (that has access to all our in-app purchase) to thank you for the constructive feedback you have provided to make this beta program successful.
