According to amazon WD passport metal edition cost Rs. 10378 and WD passport ultra cost Rs. 8599. So, only Rs. 1779 costly

u will get problems from Seagate after some years..

i have two internal HDD's of Seagate. One of 80 and other of 500GB. 500GB didn't even lasts for 2 years. both have lost it's SMART status, 
and an internal HDD of Western Digital 80gb comes with PC, bought in 2006 still going strong.

now using a WD External of 1TB from past 3 years..

Bro seagate is also good.. but I'll suggest WD. Seagate is bit costly compare to WD. WD has more features too. Hardware encryption is possible in WD not in seagate

2017 model of My Passport ultta has been named as WD Elements if i am not wrong.

Elements is entirely a different model. which came to market even before Passport.

I personally use Seagate 1TB hard disk.

without any doubt WD is the best. I am using 2 WD, 1 seagate & 1 toshiba. WD is weightless and havent faced any problem with it. seagate's getting weaker day by day and its usb pin is having loose connection. toshiba having heating issue.
