Sony Pictures Networks India’s video-on-demand (VoD) service SonyLIV has introduced food genre to its existing line-up of content. The VoD platform has launched Liv Food with 4,000 hours of exclusive food content which will be doubled to more than 8,000 hours, within the next 12 months. SonyLIV’s food content includes linear feed of celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s foodtainment channel FoodFood. The VoD platform has also partnered Rajshri Food and other top celebrity chefs to offer viewers and subscribers experience of engaging with food and take them on a gastronomic delight. Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) Digital Business EVP and Head Uday Sodhi said, “With the introduction of the food genre, SonyLIV is committed to engaging its viewers with the best of world cuisine curated by top celebrity chefs. We have displayed our pioneering edge by being the first OTT platform in India to introduce the category of food. Not only that, we are committed to doubling our repertoire of exclusive food content from 4000 hours to over 8000 hours over the next 12 months. Food is going to be a major genre on SonyLIV going forward, in addition to entertainment and sports.” Indian food and lifestyle channel FoodFood will continue its run on SonyLIV featuring the best from the culinary world and hosting discussions between chef Sanjeev Kapoor and other celebrated Indian chefs. The chef to feature include Harpal Singh Sokhi, Amrita Raichand, Anupa Das, Ajay Chopra, Shailendra Kekade, Saransh Goila, Shilarna Vaze, Vicky Ratnani, Rakesh Sethi, Shantanu Gupte and Pranav Joshi to name a few.
