Multiple reports suggest that Sony Ericsson is working on a new Android 2.3 flagship smartphone called Nozomi. The rumoured device is said to have a 1.4GHz processor and sport a 4.3-inch 720p HD display. However, there's no concrete news on release date of the device.
In the meanwhile, if reports are to be believed, Sony Ericsson's Xperia Ray and Active smartphones will be launched in India tomorrow. The Xperia Ray and Active, part of Xperia family of smartphones, were introduced few months ago and were touted to be launched in the third quarter. Though the official website of Sony Ericsson has still listed the two Android-based devices in the “coming soon” section, the latest reports suggest that they are coming to India sooner than expected.
The Xperia Ray comes with a 3.3-inch display and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. It features a powerful 1GHz processor, 8.1MP rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera, HD video functionality and “Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine”. The smartphone weighs in 100 grams and is just 9.4mm thin. The Xperia Ray will be available in four colours
The Xperia Active has a unique design and comes with a wet finger tracking feature. Like the Xperia Ray, the Xperia Active also sports Android 2.3 Gingerbread operative system. It features Sony's “Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine”, a 5MP camera with HD video functionality, and a powerful 1GHz processor
