It seemed they have less materials which they are keeping for emergency purposes only because new fiber materials won't be given by company anytime soon. I don't understand what's wrong with Jio these days because after all it's owned by the richest person in our country! 🙄
They might start purchase fiber material to maintain after congested network in 5G by next year. :ROFLMAO:

If u remember during the launch of Jio fiber, for quiet a long time, jio fiber used to give 1/10th download speed as upload speed which meant for getting 100mbps upload speed, one needed to opt for the 1gbps plan. Seems like with airfiber, jio is going that route💀 no minimum guaranteed speeds BUT there's only maximum guaranteed speed💀

One theory suggests that these ground agents are doing this to make money off the record. Supposedly, you face some issue. You raise a ticket. They guy shows up 2-3 days after the ticket is issued. Yet, he is available for you if offer ₹300. Atleast this is one agent told me when I asked for his number if some issue persists on our connection.

After seeing this i am grateful that we don't have their service available in my city.
With due respect to your opinion, I am grateful to Jio for bringing reliable optical fiber connectivity to my locality for the last 3-4 years when no other reliable providers were present here.

Until JioFiber came, I had no other option than BSNL or Railwire and both were having their own cons. I have also mentioned about my ISP experience in-depth on the Post Your Broadband Journey thread.

The current situation when they are hesitant to maintain their fiber infrastructure should improve though.

Yes, I still remember that JioFiber trial period where they used to provide upload speed 1/10th of download speed. 😬

We had a looong discussion here when the JioFiber upload speeds were made symmetrical as download speed. It was not something groundbreaking but Jio users had to wait for it for so long back then.

Same here. I remember facing hours of downtimes everyday, sometimes days with RailWire but with JioFiber, it has mostly been a great experience. Sure, I got some more alternatives now, but JioFiber is still the most reliable ISP in terms of uptime.

Everything is based on the LCO also.
I am having a railwire and my neighbours using it for almost three years. The downtime is almost zero. Whenever there is an issue and LCO will exactly tell us when the service will be up.
Also our LCO has given a freedom to switch between the three networks he has with zero installation charges.

Not in my case.

Their fiber cable travels through rail line, and the cables used to cut every now and then there. I saw green light almost 99.99% of times. One time there was a local fiber cut, and the LCO got it fixed in less than 30 minutes.

LightWave Technologies (their Odisha/CG MSP) is filled with trash people though. Extremely unprofessional and having zero idea about current situations. I am not sure if it was just the usual cable cuts, or it was due to some heavy cost-cutting done by them. id*ots used to say I am blessed to get (upto) 100 Mbps on Rs. 1200.
