Here Airtel's FAT box is opened, near our apartment, but our apartment connections are from FAT boxes at terrace, which are closed
Better to install FAT boxes on apartment terraces like ours here. So it’s a restricted access and no one can access without permission

Installing FAT boxes in open on electricity poles or else where in India is open to public and no one to keep track of it.

Yeah, but won't work everywhere. Apartments are not so common in small cities like mine. So, we only see FAT boxes on electric poles.

Just a couple thoughts from my side on this subject...

While apartments are common in my city too and here also some older apartments have JioFiber FAT boxes present on each floor or on the terrace, however, wouldn't individual houses would be excluded from getting fiber connections if they fully depend on installing FAT boxes on the terrace only! Since there would be no way to take connection from the nearby electricity poles for the individual houses. 🤨

There can be permission issues from house owners which can delay in fiber expansion. Unlike installing on various electricity poles throughout the city with Municipal Corporation approval, if ISPs start to install on terrace only, many of the individual house owners may not easily give approval and that can hinder the expansion process.

Due to the above cited reasons, I think it's wise for the ISPs to continue installation of FAT boxes on electricity poles or house boundary walls and limit the FAT box installation to terraces only for apartments.

LoL, here nobody wants Airfiber, everyone wants fiber because of reliability and data. Hardly 3 AF Plus, and 5-6 5G ones.
As for the sabotaging, I will beat the sh#t out of any Jio employee, who dare to touch the FAT Boxes. One is on my name, as 4 connections went from here, and I booked all 4 at once, hence a new one. I have direct relations with ground team and will call them after 12AM, if someone tries to do "cherkhani" with fiber lines.
My fiber line, out of the 4, is spliced at both ends by ground team themselves.
I have forced airtel to make a decision and lay down fiber lines by the end of this year, which they have recently accelerated.
